The Full Story
The idea for UGP came from my firsthand experience as a private club member. While I joined my club for the benefits of tee-time access and reciprocal play at other clubs, I quickly discovered how limited traditional reciprocal programs really were. Our club had agreements with only ten other clubs - five of which were local, and each club offered just one tee time per week. With hundreds of members competing for those spots, meaningful reciprocal access was nearly impossible. After almost four years of membership, I had only played six reciprocal rounds away from my home club. This experience highlighted a significant problem: reciprocal programs were underutilized, frustrating members and leaving clubs with untapped revenue opportunities.

I founded Ultimate Golf Perks to change that. UGP is designed to streamline and modernize reciprocal golf, making it easier for members to access quality rounds, simpler for clubs to manage bookings, and more valuable for both parties. By removing administrative barriers and expanding meaningful reciprocal opportunities, UGP transforms what was once an underused perk into a premium member benefit that drives satisfaction and incremental revenue.
With my background in club operations and deep understanding of the challenges faced by both staff and members, I am dedicated to ensuring that every club in the UGP network experiences seamless onboarding, ongoing support, and long-term success. The result is a network where reciprocity works the way it should - enhancing member experiences while strengthening club operations.

Ken is a proven golf industry professional with more than 40 years of experience across private, resort, and public golf clubs throughout Canada and the United States. He is a long-standing member of both the PGA of Canada (since 1985) and the PGA of America (since 1998), and is widely respected for his leadership, operational expertise, and commitment to exceptional member and guest experiences.

Throughout his career, Ken has worked with some of the most recognized names in golf, including the PGA TOUR, Troon Golf, Arnold Palmer Golf, and ClubLink. He also advises club owners through Kenny’s Golf Consulting, helping improve operations, service standards, and long-term club performance.

Ken most recently served as Director of Golf at St. Thomas Golf & Country Club, ranked among the Top 35 courses in Canada. While managing reciprocal play, he spent several hours each week coordinating member requests - giving him firsthand insight into the operational challenges clubs face. After retiring, Ken joined Ultimate Golf Perks because he believes in its ability to simplify reciprocal access, reduce administrative workload, and elevate the member experience.
